these are landscape images created in bryce (a 3d landscape generator).

these explorations reflect ideas presented in the blog.

the idea here is to create a digital work to take in to painting.  rather than scaning or using photographs as
a departure point, i toyed with the idea of generating landscapes to paint in acrylic.
per the figure as landscape & landscape as figure idea mentioned in the blog,
this image is one of my efforts to create a terrain with a figure as part of the
landscape (as seen in the mountain/hills).

am thinking costal hills with oaks or a patchy farm plot look might be interesting (
& reference a quilt of sorts).

not sure i would find this image interesting as a painting
like this image, yet not sure i would want to paint it
this one is a experiment in using a plane/shape assigned water attributes
that is then rotated up to use as a camera filter of sorts.

while the quality of the images for web is low, the texture did come out kinda
interesting. has a paint daub or impressionistic quality, yet the full image
presents the quality of detail seen in water when not calm, yet not overly
active.

with this i am thinking that to get a suitable landscape to paint that i may
want to start with something  more abstract.
